The new Opel / Vauxhall Meriva is hard to beat in its class when it comes to variability: its door concept allows optimum access to the back, the FlexSpace system effortlessly provides a loading area which can be used for diverse purposes and a built-in bicycle rack is also available.

Regardless of how full the compact van is to be loaded: with the Eibach Pro-Kit Performance Springs there is always enough room for a generous amount of driving enjoyment. Guided by their balanced suspension, the Meriva negotiates through each corner safely and with sporty feedback. The appearance also profits from the reduction of the vehicle‘s centre of gravity. The outline of the car seems lower and more dynamic.

The car looks even more impressive with the Eibach Pro-Spacer Wheel Spacer. They come in different sizes and give the bodywork of the Meriva even greater performance.

All Eibach suspension components, which are available through authorised dealers, are provided with a high-quality corrosion protection and are TÜV-certified.

Aerodynamic components, lowering, wheels and design elements have been developed by Steinmetz specifically for the Astra J, to give an even more striking but not obtrusive design.

The Steinmetz lowering has been matched to the FlexRide System and the Watt linkage fitted to the rear axle. The Steinmetz lowering by 30 mm has been specially developed for city traffic, but is also ideal for a quick blast around the North Loop of the Nürburgring.
The new Steinmetz aerodynamic components provide that external wow factor. With the front spoiler and totally black front grille by Steinmetz, the front end appears even more dominant. For the rear, a roof spoiler has been designed to pick up the flowing styling lines. Available as an option for the sides, there are designer strips in silver and anthracite and door handle plates in polished stainless steel.

The second world premiere at the Tuning World Bodensee is the launch of the ST10 alloy wheel in size 8.5J x 19″ ET39 in Bicolor. The classic Steinmetz Design with two dishes between the partially open five spokes perfectly fills the wheelarches of the Astra J by Steinmetz and gives a fine view of the standard brakes. Clear lines, a inwardly dished wheel centre with semi-circular Steinmetz logo above the three-dimensional centre cap are additional eyecatchers of the ST 10 by Steinmetz.

In the same size as the ST10, the ST7 from the existing range can also be fitted. Both alloy wheels run on tyres size 235/35/R19 without any adaptation to the wheelarches on the Astra J by Steinmetz.

Steinmetz Opel-Tuning recommends tyres by Continental and Michelin.
The right gear always in view. For the interior, finished to a high standard by Opel, Steinmetz has developed a gear display which shows the driver – in his colour of choice – the gear currently selected. Foot mats with a stainless steel logo, and sill trims of polished stainless steel, complete the Steinmetz product range for the Astra J.

The new Opel Astra scores highly with its perfect synthesis of form and function. At 4.42 metres long the elegant car provides above-average length and thereby its passengers an extremely generous interior. The fact that the Astra has become an extremely agile vehicle in spite of its size, is proved in particular by the optional Pro-Kit Performance Springs, which bring the hatchback closer to the road.

For Eibach, obtaining perfect road feedback does not mean, however, that every bump and pot hole is passed on unfiltered to the driver and passengers.

The ultimate tool for an individual adjustment of the height of the vehicle is provided by the complete Pro-Street-S Coil-Over Suspension System. Due to the adjustable height setup the Astra driver can personally set the optical and dynamic character of his/her car. The Eibach Pro-Spacer Aluminum Wheel Spacer are a further available supplement. In addition to the suspension packed contours on the sides of the vehicle, they make the new Opel seem even more muscular.

All Eibach suspension components, which are available through authorised dealers, are provided with a high-quality corrosion protection and are TÜV-certified.

However only elements for improving the visual look are initially on offer.

Lexmaul has improved the face of the new Opel Astra with a new radiator grill. Instead of the Opel logo this bears a grill in the colour of the vehicle. As an optional extra it can also be supplied in real carbon.

The Astra’s headlights have been given an almost traditional covering for the „evil eye“. The standard front spoiler is improved with the addition of spoiler corners. And the side skirts have also been both optically and aerodynamically improved by adding extra corners in front of the rear wheels.

The rear view of the new Opel Astra has received a spoiler on the rear roof and a diffuser on the standard skirt. The Astra can also be upgraded by installing various exhaust systems – the highlight here is the four pipe version with two pipes each on the left and right hand side – along with the appropriate rear valance. The Astra’s splendid new appearance is highlighted by Lexmaul’s own light alloy rims which are available in sizes 18, 19 and 20 inch.

The PPC tuning will be available from the beginning of 2010. Then the new Astra will be able to increase its performance by up to 20% with the press of a button.

On the occasion of the IAA in Frankfurt, the customisation specialist Irmscher for the first time presents the upgraded Astra. To accompany the nationwide sales start on 17th September, Irmscher offers a comprehensive sports programme for the trade. For this volume model from Opel Rüsselsheim, Irmscher has come up with a strikingly sporty design coupled with pure driving dynamics. The Irmscher accessories are characterised by unusually high quality and the seamless integration into the look and design of the new Opel Astra. The lrmscher exterior products harmonise perfectly with the proportions of the new Astra.

Outside – Balanced proportions and exciting design

The broad shoulders on the flanks, and gentle curves between clearly defined lines recall the design language of the Insignia. The balanced proportions of the new Astra imply dynamics at the very first glance. An attribute which Irmscher consistently underlines and develops further with its design ideas. Viewed from a distance, the eye is immediately caught by the harmoniously integrated front spoiler lip, the slim radiator grill panel with silver or carbon-look design rail and the track width of the Irmscher wheels with their Turbo Star design. The side view of the new Astra is skilfully enhanced by Irmscher with a side skirt which picks up the curved line of the side view. The sporting ambitions of the Irmscher Astra are also clearly apparent from the vehicle rear, where the agile and dynamic look are complemented by the striking roof spoiler, together with a diffuser insert and quad stainless steel exhaust silencer.

Inside – Selected materials and outstanding quality

In the interior of the vehicle, the driver and passengers want for nothing. The seats, door panels and central armrests are manufactured by Irmscher and finished in fine cowhide. The leather interior fittings have been carefully matched with the red bodywork. Irmscher provides additional interior refinement in the form of aluminium door-locking pins, sill panelling in stainless steel and aluminium pedals. All Irmscher accessories stand out for their excellent visual and tactile finishing quality and further enhance the already high-quality impression of the new Astra.

Equipment – Outstanding dynamics with high driving safety

For the new Astra, Irmscher has developed a new 18″ wheel in the “Turbo Star” and “Turbo Star Exclusive” design. The new rim comes complete with the 225 cm tyre width. These will be followed shortly by 20″ light metal wheels, also in the Turbo Star design. For the chassis, Irmscher offers a lowering of 30 mm. here the spring characteristics used ensure sportily agile driving pleasure, and in combination with the wide tyres provide greater track stability and even more driving safety. The exhaust silencer with its elliptical twin tailpipe not only emphasises the sporty rear view of the Irmscher Astra, but also creates the appropriate satisfying sound.
